Nick was admitted in 2008 and practises primarily in the areas of Litigation and Insolvency.

Nick has managed cases and appeared in disputes in the Supreme, County, Federal and Magistrates’ Courts as well as VCAT.

He has represented clients in disputes arising in a wide range of areas, including:

  • Corporate and commercial law (including trust, partnership and shareholder disputes);
  • Retail and residential tenancies law;
  • Intellectual property;
  • Employment law;
  • Testator’s family maintenance claims; and
  • Consumer protection law.

Nick is also experienced in personal and corporate insolvency having worked with and provided advice to insolvency practitioners, financially distressed clients and creditors on all aspects of the insolvency process.

His insolvency experience includes:

  • Acting for applicant creditors and respondent debtors in winding-up and bankruptcy proceedings;
  • Drafting and advising on deeds of company arrangement;
  • Acting for insolvency practitioners in the sale and disposal of company assets;
  • Pursuing and defending unfair preference and voidable transaction claims by liquidators and trustees in bankruptcy; and
  • Conducting liquidator’s examinations and representing examinees in same.
