About Tim

Tim joined BSP Lawyers in March 2014, after commencing practising as a lawyer in 2009. He is a commercially focused lawyer who takes a personal approach with clients, using his knowledge and experience to ensure he provides the right mix of advice and services for their needs.

Tim has a broad commercial background from which he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in retail and commercial leasing, business acquisitions and sales, and general commercial and property related transactions. He also has experience in the preparation of wills, powers of attorney and other estate planning matters.

Tim’s most recent experience in these areas includes:

  • Acting for three private entities in the successful $76m joint sale of a large commercial site within the Melbourne CBD. The matter involved structuring and formalising a number of existing leasing arrangements at the site; advising on existing leases and their impact on the sale, as well as tax consequences arising out of the sale; and preparing all sale material, including complex sale contracts and other documents.
  • Acting for a large number of landlords and tenants in a variety of leasing transactions (and lease disputes) across a range of industries. This often involves providing detailed advice around the rights and obligations of both landlords and tenants under the Retail Leases Act 2003 (Vic).
